- Our 3D tiles can not be easily cut for partial use. Add some blank space for the eye to rest around your captivating Brutal Ceiling designs.
- Zona is a smooth, flat surfaced, flat edging and filler tile to be used wherever a full 3D drop ceiling tile cannot be used, such as around the border of a drop ceiling or where a light or A/C duct has to live.
- If your existing mineral tiles are in great shape you can even just leave those around the border and just swap out for the 3D tiles.
- A tip for your layout strategy: Have a border of one complete tile around the installation if you have some partial border tiles less than half a tile wide. This looks much better than having some 3D tiles meet the wall and some flat partials on an another edge. Click here for grid layout tips.

Water Proof:
Materials used in the construction of this product are 100% waterproof.
Cleanable
Unlike mineral fiber ceiling tiles, BRUTAL Ceiling tiles are anti-bacterial and non- porous. Since it is an exterior grade PVC, it can be cleaned with any home cleaning product or antiviral disinfectants to ensure surfaces are safe.
Fire Sprinklers:
When installing BRUTAL tiles in ceilings with sprinkler systems, cut the hole at least 1/4" diameter larger than the sprinkler escutcheon/trim (leaving a visible 1/8" gap around the edge). This allows the tile to fall away from the ceiling during a fire and not foul the sprinkler system

Zona 1:
The first tile offering is made from expanded PVC board and has a color and satin surface finish that compliments the 3-D tiles. It is slightly darker. It can be painted if a perfect color match is deemed necessary (customers have done this) Read about painting here. It also has a class A fire / smoke rating. It can easily be cut with a utility knife and straight edge or table saw. It is about twice the weight compared to the molded tiles. Your old mineral fiber tile can be used as a pattern to cut Zona, and can also be placed above for acoustic absorption.

Zona 2:
The second option is made from the same material that the 3D tiles are made from so the color will match. A simple flat sheet is too floppy to sit flat in the suspended grid. We have added just enough 3-D shape to add stiffness so the edges sit flat in the grid. This design adds a pinstripe effect around the border. It has a linen texture matching our 3D tiles. For sound absorption, mineral tiles cannot touch these tiles. They must be placed at an angle above the grid.

Installing BRUTAL Tiles is Easy!
Drop In
Brutal tiles are very light and flexible. They don't crack and break and shower you with dust. They are super easy to lift up into a Standard 15/16" wide ceiling grid.
Install your Brutal tiles in the same direction for a uniform look, or rotate and flip them to create a captivating ceiling landscape.
Glue Up
Not all Brutal tiles work with Glue-Up, if this is needed we recommend using our Globen, Europa and SoBe tiles which will lay flat for gluing on your ceiling or wall.
Globen, Europa and SoBe tiles can be easily glued to any flat smooth substrate.
Lighting
The recessed round shape of our Globen tiles naturally lends itself to high-hats and other lighting features. Pre-cut holes through the tiles with a knife or scissors to match the light locations.
All lights should be hung from weight supporting features on the ceiling above the tiles.
